Exhibition: Willem de Kooning — The Breakthrough Years, 1945-50
The reopened Princeton University Art Museum presents this exhibition examining de Kooning’s formative Abstract Expressionist period, when he explored the interplay of figuration and abstraction. It features works from his landmark 1948 solo show, including the iconic painting “Black Friday” from Princeton’s own collection. Admission to the museum is free to all.
