America's 250th Celebration — Hunterdon Symphony & Fireworks
Hunterdon County’s marquee America 250 event: the Hunterdon Symphony performs patriotic, made-in-America works (Sousa, Copland, Bernstein, Horner) as part of the county’s free Music Under the Stars series, opened by a reading of the Declaration of Independence and capped by what organizers bill as “the biggest fireworks display the county has ever seen.” Bring blankets and lawn chairs. Rain date is Thursday July 9; in lighter weather the concert (no fireworks) moves indoors to Hunterdon Central High School, 84 Route 31, doors 6pm, no food/drink in the auditorium. Call (908) 782-7275 after 4:30pm for the weather call.
