Plays-in-the-Park: '1776' (outdoor musical)
Middlesex County’s long-running outdoor Plays-in-the-Park stages the Tony-winning musical “1776” — the story of John Adams, Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson pushing the Continental Congress toward independence — a fitting Semiquincentennial pick. Runs nightly at 8pm July 8–18 (no Sunday performances). Tickets $8 adults / $5 seniors 60+ / free for kids 12 & under, sold only at the box office (opens 5:30pm), no advance or online sales. Bring a lawn chair no taller than 40 inches.
